Author Bio
Jean Ure was six when she wrote her first book and still at school when her first novel was published. Since then, she has written many popular titles for young people, including Whatever Happened to Katy Jane?; The Unknown Planet; Captain Cranko and the Crybaby; The Children Next Door (shortlisted for the 1995 WH Smith Mind Boggling Books Award) and A Twist in Time. Her novel for young adults, Plague 99, was the 1991 Lancashire Children's Book of the Year. She lives in Surrey with her husband, dogs and cats.
