Author Bio
Kim Lewis was born in Canada, in 1951. She did a BA in Fine Arts at Concordia University, Montreal, and then moved to London to take a course in advanced printmaking. Since 1980 she has been a self-employed artist and printmaker. Each of her picture books has been set on or around the sheep farm in Northumberland where she lives with her husband and two children. Her titles include The Shepherd Boy (shortlisted for the 1991 Kate Greenaway Medal); Emma's Lamb; Floss; First Snow; The Last Train; My Friend Harry; One Summer Day; Friends; Just Like Floss (shortlisted for the 1999 Children's Book Award), Little Baa and Little Calf, Little Puppy and Little Lamb.
