Synopsis

A brilliantly illustrated and carefully observed school story. Clyde is feeling glum. The school Science Fair is only a week away and the bean plants have just died. Now he and his science partner Rosemary have got no project. Happily Clyde's loose tooth gives him a great idea: a project on teeth! But will Rosemary be willing to give her very first tooth to science instead of to the Tooth Fairy? And if she does, will the Tooth Fairy understand? Fortunately for Clyde, everything works out and he and Rosemary win out in the end.

Author Bio
Kathryn Lasky has written two other stories about Clyde and his classmates, Lunch Bunnies and Show and Tell Bunnies. The incidents depicted, she says, are part of the continuing saga of the problems that loom large in the lives of infant school children as they try to figure out their world. The author of several books for young people, including Sophie and Rose, Pond Year, Vision of Beauty and the non-fiction title, Interrupted Journey, she lives in Massachusetts, with her family. Marylin Hafner loves Clyde and says that the Bunny books portray the real fears of children as they start to face the world away from home. It's not so much mastering reading or arithmetic that's important, but social acceptance. She has illustrated numerous books for children, including Mums Don't Get Sick! and A Year with Molly and Emmett. She has three grown-up daughters and lives in Massachusetts.
