In Extra Time

In Extra Time

by Cole Hannah (Author)

Synopsis

A lively and authentic football story about juggling the pressures of daily life. Brendan likes playing football. The trouble is, he's not very good at it. His friend Ibby says Brendan just needs to play more. But when? Most of his lunchtimes are taken up already and he can't play after school, because he has to walk home with his little brother, Finn. Now there's news of a training session on Wednesday evenings with a local junior team, but will Mum let Brendan go when things are so busy at home? How can Bernard make some extra time to play football? And if he does, can he improve enough to make the team? The result's in doubt right up to the final whistle!
