Synopsis

An interpretation of one of the most popular of all Aesop's fables, shortlisted for the Smarties Book Prize. Charlie is a simple country mouse. He likes to sit in the sun and listen to the blackbirds singing; he eats nuts, seeds and berries. His cousin Tyler, on the other hand, lives a hurlyburly life in town. He loves rich food and going out to the cinema. So, not surprisingly, when Tyler comes to visit Charlie, he is very quickly bored. But will his country cousin find the noise and bustle of town any more to his liking? Tyler invites Charlie to come home with him and find out! Helen Craig has illustrated "Angelina Ballerina", "Crumbling Castle", "Mary, Mary", "The Yellow House", "The One and Only Robin Hood", four "This is the Bear" books and four stories about "Susie and Alfred" (also written by her) and "Charlie and Tyler at the Seaside" a sequel to "The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse".
