Synopsis

This contemporary fairytale tells the story of a boy and the cloth of dreams his grandmother made for him when he was born, to keep the dark night things away. But one day he trips on it and tears it, and through the holes a chain of nightmares come - a frightful hag chases him and a huge fish swallows him. He asks his grandmother to mend the cloth. She tells him he must climb a dark staircase to the roof and fetch threads from the sun and the moon. Plucking up his courage, the boy goes up the stairs and overcomes his fears.
