by Heather Maisner (Author), A. Baron (Author)
An adventure game that takes readers on a voyage of discovery around the world. Each double-page spread portrays two different regions on the same continent such as Canada and Alaska, China and India, and Australia and New Zealand. The reader chooses one of these and follows the marked route (each step of which is accompanied by geographical details) to locate the magic globe. The reader then matches the colour of this globe to a globe on the World Map at the beginning of the book to find out which location to go to next. This process continues until the yellow globe is discovered. Then the reader has start all over again, taking a different route. This book gives many facts and insights into areas of geographical interest around the world and there are also lots of objects from the present to spot in each picture. Heather Maisner is the author of four stories about The Tractors of Thomson's Yard, the novelty books Find Mouse in the House and Find Mouse in the Garden , and The Magic Hourglass , a companion volume to The Magic Globe . Alan Baron is the illustrator of the Read and Wonder title What is a Wall After All? .
