This is a collection of two books in one volume, both are stories about young girls and horses. The first story is about Bridget. Bridget loves her woolly pony William, but her father thinks that he is just a waste of money, until the day of the great snow storm. In the second story, the huge chalk cut-out horse on the hillside above Susan's village is threatened. Susan decides to take action.
