Worked on a variety of items, including a lampshade, picture frame and bracelet, it's good to see such a traditional technique used to decorate everyday items.

[This book] exhaustively describes the basic materials and techniques for goldwork, but without a single diagram. This also applies to the working instructions for the projects. I found their level appropriate for novice goldworkers, but the designs were pedestrian. It would have been nice to have seen some of the source material. I found it a singularly uninspiring book.
