Way of Tibetan Buddhism

Way of Tibetan Buddhism

by Lama Jampa Thaye (Author)

Synopsis

An increasing number of people in the West are seeking an authentic spirituality and becoming fascinated by Buddhism, and particularly the branch of Tibetan Buddhism. In this guide, Lama Jampa Thaye illuminates the basic teachings, and offers a clear and profound account of how to set about travelling the path to awakening. The guide places particular emphasis on the most subtle teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, the Vajrayana, and on the crucial teacher-disciple relationship which lies at the heart of the genuine spiritual life. The book also traces the historical background to Buddhism, from its origins in India, through to its development in Tibet, and on into its impact on the West.
