The book uses the traditional story, The Enormous Turnip and the rhyme Who Built the Ark for parent and child to share. It has a four in one concept in that each book contains four main elements to help children learn to read: activities based on the story and rhyme to repeat vocabulary and build reading skills; interactive make-and-do reading game (the title of each activity book relates to the content of the game) which is intended to encourage vocabulary; and reading skills and an original story for the child to read alone.
