The characters who live there - Nicky Number, George Guess and Charlie Check, Mr Minus (who runs the take-away shop), Timothy Tens and Ursula Unites help to reinforce and extend skills learned in the Learn Numbers book. Number-based skills are central to National Curriculum maths, and should form a part of skills being tested for children aged seven.
