Hart Sprager worked as an actor and as a documentary filmmaker in the U.S.A. and Brazil before going to India in 1987. After completing The Sound of the Earth, he spent one year in silent retreat under a Tibetan master in Washington State. He now divides his time between India and the U.S.A.
