by JohnBlake (Author), ShepherdDavid (Foreword), Gerald Coulson (Foreword)
Gerald Coulson's first love was not art, but aircraft, and from an early age he studied and drew them at every opportunity. His apprenticeship - in the RAF, then as a civilian aircraft engineer and as a pilot - has stood him in good stead in subsequent years, for he paints from an intimate knowledge of the machines. More recently he has expanded his repertoire into landscape, concentrating on the accurate interpretation of features such as mist, foliage and water. This book contains many of Coulson's best-known paintings as well as a number of hitherto unpublished works.
