Author Bio
Pete Hill (MIC, FRGS), has climbed extensively throughout Europe, Africa, Nepal and India, including a number of first ascents in the Himalayas. He runs his own business, Highlander Mountaineering, and is an associate instructor with Glenmore Lodge, Scotland's National Mountain Training Centre. Pete is a member of the Alpine Club, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and Chairman of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors. Pete lives in Glenlivet in the Highlands. Stuart Johnston (MIC), instructor and consultant has been a full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors since 1992. He is also an associate member of staff at Glenmore Lodge. Stuart's expertise embraces all aspects of mountaineering including moutain rescue. An accomplished mountaineer, he has climbed extensively throughout the UK, Europe, and the Himalayas. Based in Perth, Scotland, today Stuart continues a full-time career in mountaineering instruction.
