Michael Bell is President of the UK Bamboo Society, contributed to their booklet and the society journals. He holds one of the National Collections of Phyllostachys with over 165 species and forms which was the subject of a TV presentation in which the author participated with Roy Lancaster: Michael lives in Wadebridge, Cornwall.
