The book now incluides contributions from Ann Camp, Villu Toots and Sheila Waters and covers the development and practice of calligraphy in the 20th century. The text ranges from Edward Johnson's revival of calligraphy based on historical scripts, through the pioneering work of his students in Britain, Germany and North America, to the current period of expansion and new forms of expression.
