Author Bio
Former University lecturers (Cell Biology and Chemistry), David and Shirley Bassett have grown delphiniums for many years, raising and introducing new varieties and competing in shows. In recent years they have both been heavily involved with The Delphinium Society. David Bassett is the author of the RHS Wisley Handbook on Delphiniums, published in 1990, and for a period of more than ten years wrote regularly for Garden News as their Delphinium Specialist.
