  A collection of 100 true news stories for use in assemblies, this book has been compiled by a headmaster to meet the needs of schools in multi-cultural societies. The stories, which aim to be suitable for multi-faith occasions, focus on various qualities, including courage, honesty, wisdom, concern, awe and appreciation. There are five main subject themes and the contents page gives the setting of each story, its general outline, its underlying dramatic and moral aspects, and the time needed to read it out. Suggestions of possible prayers and hymns which could be used with the stories are given in the appendices. The author's previous books are Meeting People and Points of View .
