Author Bio
Robert Thurman has been a writer for thirty years. He holds the first endowed chair in Indo-Tibetan Studies in America and is co-founder and president of Tibet House New York, a cultural non-profit organisation dedicated to preserving the endangered civilisation of Tibet. He is also the first ever Western Tibetan Buddhist monk and shares a thirty-five year friendship with the Dalai Lama. He is the father of five children, including the actress Uma Thurman.
