Jason Hawkes is a photographer with an exceptional talent for the difficult art of aerial photography. Here he captures the essence of London's ever-changing skyline in over 150 stunning colour pictures taken from heights of between 500 and 1,500 feet. All the classic London sights - Buckingham Palace, the Tower, Westminster Abbey, Parliament, the Thames in all its moods - are revealed in new light, often from striking angles; and the new London - Docklands, the glamorous City towers, the Thames barrier, the Millennium Dome - are also included. A highly informative commentary on the pictures is provided by Felix Barker, whose knowledge of London and its history is unrivalled.
