This book is the result, and it interweaves her diary of a nine-month battle to beat her malignancy with hilarious, and sometimes shocking, memories from her earlier life. The reminiscences include the story of her drug-addict mother, her own teenage marriage and motherhood, her struggles in the raw world of showbusiness, her happy second marriage and the harsh reality of serious illness.
