The RHS Diary 2007

The RHS Diary 2007

by Brent Elliott (Commentary)

Synopsis

The RHS diary and address book for 2007 are illustrated with watercolour drawings from two books compiled by Robert Sweet (1782-1835). These are "The British Flower Garden" (1823 - 37), and "The Florist's Guide" (1827 - 32). Sweet worked in his brother's Bristol nursery before moving to a similar job in London. He began publishing works on newly introduced plants. Many of the flowers are illustrated by Edwin Dalton Smith. Each week features a full-page colour illustration and the diary includes the dates of all the RHS Flower Shows as well as national and religious holidays and astronomical information. This is the fifteenth year that Frances Lincoln has produced the hugely popular RHS diary. Beautifully produced in week-to-view format with a colour picture on every spread, and with a fresh contemporary design, it is a perfect gift for nature, art and garden lovers alike. It is also available in a spacious desk version.
