Author Bio
Mary Hoffman is a highly acclaimed journalist and writer who has campaigned against sexism and racism in children's literature since 1971. Previous Titles: Mary has written more than 80 books for children, including My Grandma has Black Hair, Dracula's Daughter, Dog Powder and Mermaid and Chips. Amazing Grace, her first book for Frances Lincoln, has sold over 1.5 million copies and was commended for the Kate Greenaway Medal. A sequel, Grace & Family, was published in 1994. This was followed by An Angel Just Like Me, which was shortlisted for the 1997 Sheffield Libraries Book Award, A Twist in the Tail: Animal Stories from Around the World, chosen as one of Junior Education's Best Books of 1999, Three Wise Women, Women of Camelot, Starring Grace, Parables and Miracles, How to be a Cat and The Colour of Home. Whereabouts: Oxfordshire; M.P. Robertson studied Graphic Design at Kingston University. A freelance illustrator since 1988, he specialises in children's books.
