Author Bio
Richard Kidd studied painting at Newcastle University before taking up a scholarship at the British School at Rome. After several years of teaching at Newcastle University, he went to America in 1980, to spend a year in San Francisco and six years in New York on a Harkness Fellowship. Lindsey Kidd studied fine art and sculpture at Preston Polytechnic and became a mannequin modeller. She has been creating salt-dough models for several years, and it was one of her Christmas lobster decorations which inspired her husband, Richard Kidd, to write Monsieur Thermidor.
