First published in 1993 and reprinted twice that year, the second edition of Aerofilms Guide: Football Grounds was published in 1994 and was out of print within weeks of publication; this considerable success was maintained with the past 10 editions reflecting that, for many supporters, Aerofilms Guide: Football Grounds has become their indispensable reference to away matches and each edition regularly sells out. This 13th edition has again been fully revised and includes information on the many ground alterations that have been completed over the past 12 months. The past season has again been one of considerable change for football both on and off the pitch, with a number of clubs facing considerable financial difficulties, most notably the high-profile challenge to the survival of Leeds United. Another West Yorkshire team, Bradford city almost failed to make the start of the 2004/05 campaign as its financial position worsened. Despite these problems, however, considerable investment continues to go into the various grounds around the country as football, as a spectator sport, continues to grow. For this new edition, two brand new grounds will be featured - Coventry City's new stadium at Foleshill and Swansea City's new home at Morfa - whilst, for other grounds - most notably Arsenal's historic stadium at Highbury - the 2005/06 season will be their last. In addition to the new grounds, work at grounds as varied as Leyton Orient and Norwich, as well as the new Wembley that is rapidly approaching completion - will also be featured. As in 2004/05, two clubs will again the promoted from the Nationwide Conference and two familiar names will disappear. As before, the book includes an aerial photo-map of each ground allowing the reader to locate the stadium in relation to the surrounding streets and public transport facilities. Detailed information is also provided about telephone numbers, addresses, parking and much else. In order to make the book more 'user-friendly' to visiting fans, the 13th edition again includes plans of the actual grounds identifying blocks and disabled facilties and these have again been updated in the light of changes over the past season. The book also, however, retains its popular sketch of each club's season. With its comprehensive coverage of grounds in the Barclays FA Premiership and the Coca-Cola League, there is no better guide for the travelling football supporter than the 13th edition of Aerofilms Guide: Football Grounds.
