Also provided is information on safety precautions, on the code followed by country walkers and general advice on rights of way in the Lake District is offered. With the two walk guides which this map complements, all walks are across established rights of way. Map reading skills are explained and there is background information on the Lake District National Park and the National Trust. The map scale is one inch to one mile.
