Synopsis

A repeat of the formula which made Poem for the Day such a well-loved favourite whose popularity and sales just go on and on. Poem for the Day Two has one page for each day of the year. On each page is a poem, with brief additional material about the poem or the poet, giving added charm and interest - sometimes biographical, sometimes anecdotal, sometimes explanatory, sometimes historical. There are 366 poems (one for each day of the year, and one for leap years), to delight and inspire - and learn by heart, chosen for their magic and memorability. The poems are varied: old and contemporary, well-known and new, and with a completely different selection from the first volume.

Author Bio
Poem for the Day was the brainchild of Nicholas Albery, who tragically was killed in a car accident as Poem for the Day Two was getting off the ground. His colleague Stephanie Weinrich has taken over the selection, and royalties will go to Nicholas Albery's charitable foundations, under the banner of the Institute for Social Inventions.
