Author Bio
Bev Nutt is Professor of Facility and Environment Management at University College London and joint director of its MSc course in FM. Previously he was Dean of the Faculty of the Built Environment at UCL and its Director of Research. He was a founding member of the Council of the BIFM and the first Chairman of its Education, Training and Research Committee. During the 80s he set up and directed UCL's applied research and consultancy business (UCLi), exploiting the intellectual capital and expertise of the university as a whole to overseas clients, industrial companies, professional firms and government agencies. His current areas of interest include strategic briefing, strategic design and strategic management, facility obsolescence, adaptation and change of use, business infrastructure management and logistics. Peter McLennan is a Senior Research Fellow and Lecturer at the Bartlett School of Graduate Studies, University College London, and joint director of its MSc Course in FM. He is external examiner to the MBA Constructing and Real Estate course at the College of Estate Management at reading, and an independent consultant on facility planning and post-occupancy evaluation to many major clients. Previously he was a senior consultant with DEGW LTd, with responsibility for the development and implementation of facility guidelines, facility briefs and facility plans. His current interests include strategic planning, space management, operational briefing, FM knowledge management and post-occupancy evaluation.
