. the material in The Biology of Disease is handled well. One of the best chapters is also one of their first, Principles of Epidemiology. Without using much or very complicated math, the basic principles of epidemiology are briefly and clearly explained.
.The Biology of Disease has a bonus that complements the 23 chapters of material that are the first part of the book; a selection of 34 excellent case studies.
