The book is intended as a guide to everyday clinical medicine, and focuses on the practical aspects of managing major disorders. The overall structure of the book remains the same as the last edition, but there are new chapters on: cystic fibrosis; AIDS; and ARDS (Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome).
