Author Bio
David Chappell BA(HonsArch), MA(Arch), MA(Law), PhD. RIBA has over 35 years' experience in the construction industry, having worked as an architect in the public and private sector, as contracts administrator for a building contractor and as a lecturer in construction law and contract procedures. He is now Director of Chappell-Marshall Limited, a building and civil engineering contracts consultancy, and Professor of Architectural Practice and Research in the School of the Built Environment at The Queen's University of Belfast. He is a well known conference speaker, contributes regularly to the Architects' Journal, and is author of a number of widely regarded books on construction law and contracts.
