by Beck (Author)
In this book human development in its fullest sense is introduced to undergraduate students of medicine and human biology. The chapters on developmental anatomy give a clear account of the formation of all the body systems, and this is set against a background of general reproductive physiology and anatomy. For the new edition all chapters have been thoroughly revised and many completely rewritten. Less emphasis is given to genetics, but clinical details of inherited anomalies are dealt with in detail. In addition the sections on growth and development and their disorders have been greatly expanded, again with emphasis on their clinical importance.
