Synopsis

This is an easily accessible text written for the training practitioner and student. It is invaluable for all those studying on programmes leading to qualifications such as the Certificate in Training Practice and is also an essential reference for the new or recently appointed training manager who needs authoritative guidance. Steve Truelove has successfully collated and synthezised the best existing knowledge in a succinct and accessible way. He has concentrated on the core techniques which every serious sharp end practitioner and student must master. The text is organized into five sections which deal with:Identifying Training Needs.Design of Training.Preparing Material.Delivery Skills.Assessment and Evaluation. This allows the reader to get to grips with the key elements of the training process from start to finish. No previous knowledge of the subject is assumed. The approach is highly practical rather than simply theoretical, whilst ensuring that all the key underlying concepts are clearly introduced. Training in Practice is now the most comprehensive, usable, up-to-date and authoritative text for students and trainers.
