The activities in this book cover: approximating solutions to problems; choosing and using combinations of the four operations to solve problems; and methods of checking answers, including the use of inverses. The book comes with a colour, A4, wipe-clean postermat . Designs include game boards, picture stimuli and classroom maths resources. Diagnostic and double check assessment activites, reinforcement activities, and enrichment activities are included. The aim of this is to support formative and summative assessment, develop understanding and confidence, and consolidate and extend learning. This series is broadly linked to the National Curriculum levels, and the relevance to Scottish Guidelines and NI Curriculum for Maths is included.
