  A collection of activities designed to help children develop their handwriting and presentation skills as required in Attainment Target 5: handwriting and presentation in the English National Curriculum. The book will cover all aspects of handwriting, from children's perception of letter shapes through to a variety of devices to develop presentation and design skills. As a matter of course, aspects of spelling, such as blends, will also be addressed. The aim of the book is to provide practice with a purpose and with a sense of fun, so that this motor skill can be developed to maturity. Sections include: patterns; letters; letter strings; calligraphy; design uses. Teachers' notes will provide detailed explanation of the development of this skill, together with information on the activities and ideas for extension activities.
