Author Bio

Diane Hall has been involved in English Language Teaching and Publishing for over 25 years. She taught for several years in the UK and Germany before moving into publishing and writing. She has written a number of books, notably the Longman Advanced Learners' Grammar and Distinction, a course for advanced learners (with Mark Foley). Diane has a teaching qualification in ELT and an MA in Second Language Learning and Teaching from the University of London.

Andy has worked as a teacher, teacher trainer and project manager in a number of countries and was for many years a senior staff member with the Bell Educational Trust. He has an MA (Applied Linguistics) and an RSA Dip TEFL.

He has been writing with Jocelyn Potter since 1988. As well as collaborating with her on the Sourcebook, many ELT readers, the BBC'sTeaching in Practice radio series and Look Ahead, most recently they have co-written Work in Progress, and More Work in Progress, and have worked as joint series editors of the Longman Fiction series and the new Penguin Readers. He has also written a coursebook for the Arab World, is co-author (with Chris Tribble) of the Longman Writing Skills Series, and the Reviews Editor of Modern English Teacher magazine.
