Killing Titan (War Dogs Trilogy 2)

by Greg Bear (Author)

Synopsis

After barely surviving his last tour on Mars, Master Sergeant Michael Venn finds himself back on earth in enforced isolation. Through a dangerous series of operations he returns to Mars to further his investigation into the Drifters - ancient artifacts suddenly reawakened on the red planet.

But another front in the war leads his team to make the difficult journey to Saturn's moon, Titan. Here, in the cauldron of war, hides new truths about the Drifters, the origin of life in our solar system and the plans of the supposedly benevolent Gurus, who have been sponsoring and supporting humanity in their fight against outside invaders.

Killing Titan is the second book in the epic interstellar War Dogs trilogy from master of science fiction, Greg Bear.

Media Reviews
War Dogs is Bear's best book in years but only if you're ready to commit for a long haul - this is after all just the first third of the story and next two books are still far in the future. The whole set up is engaging and while it does play with some of the more familiar tropes in science fiction its pitch-perfect delivery feels entirely refreshing. An opening to a series well worth checking out! * Upcoming 4 Me *
War Dogs is a book that both celebrates and respects the role of the combat soldier, with all of their trials and tribulations. Think of it as The Forever War or Starship Troopers, upgraded to the 21st century, a tale that shows that even when the technology changes, the role of the soldier does not. It is the best book I've read from Greg for a while, and one of the best military-SF books I've read in years. * SFF World *
