Diary of a Breast

Diary of a Breast

by ElisaSegrave (Author)

Synopsis

Sex, death and parties, hospital life, motherhood and thwarted literary ambition all feature in this disarmingly honest diary. Elisa Segrave first discovered a small lump in her breast in September 1991. The Diary of a Breast records her nine-month struggle against cancer in the same wry, acutely observant manner in which it evokes her troublesome family, her eccentric, cosmopolitan friends and fellow long-suffering NHS patients. The result is an immensely engaging mixture of truth and hilarity, privilege and deprivation, pleasure and pain.
