Author Bio
Mandy Archer (Author) Mandy Archer's love of words started one Christmas when Santa brought her a typewriter. Wind forward three decades and Mandy's still typing. After training as an editor, she went on to become the Creative Head of Children's Books for BBC Worldwide, nurturing a host of characters including Wallace & Gromit and the Teletubbies. Since then she has devised all kinds of titles for children and teens, ranging from board books for babies through to paperbacks and pop-ups. For the record, she still can't shake her stationery habit. Her prize possession is a rather snazzy electronic pencil sharpener.Kirsteen Harris-Jones (Illustrator) Kirsteen Harris-Jones left school at 16 and attended the North Wales school of art and design. Her career has spanned lots of areas from advertising houses, creative/ graphic design houses and even animation studios. Then, after 20 yrs and a huge semi- break to stay at home and look after my children, she has remained busy as a freelance artist. Her achievements to date are winning the NEWI Caldecott prize, and a highly commended at Macmillan for Gilda's brother.
