Author Bio
Janey is a writer, businesswoman and mother of three boys. She studied English Literature at Edinburgh University and specialised in the Victorian novel. She became an English teacher and then, with her husband, set up The Jelly Club, which has become an extremely successful chain of children's activity centres in Scotland. (One of the Balamory episodes were filmed at a Jelly Club centre). Janey first published Princess Poppy herself (with her own illustrations) and the books were so popular that Random House Children's Books quickly bought and repackaged them.
