Author Bio
Laura Stevenson graduated from Yale University, after which she lectured at universities and wrote scholarly works until her career was cut short by an illness that left her deaf. She is currently a professor of Writing and Humanities, working especially with dyslexics. Her children's books include Happily After All, which appeared on several American prize lists including the Mark Twain Award and was translated into both Danish and German, and The Island and the Ring, a fantasy novel. Though she is based in the States, Laura Stevenson is a frequent visitor to the U.K.
