  The Cambridge History of Latin America, the first large-scale authoritative survey of Latin American history from ca. 1500 to the present day, is a work of international collaborative scholarship. It aims to provide a high-level synthesis of existing knowledge in chapters written by leading scholars in their fields. Each chapter is accompanied by a bibliographical essay. Volume 9: Brazil since 1930 is the final volume of the 12 volume History to be published. It examines the profound political, economic, and social changes experienced by Brazil in the 70 years from 1930 to the present day.
