  Pathfinder is a special edition of the SMP Interact course for GCSE. It is an enhanced version of the complete operational course being used in the pilot schools. The Pathfinder edition covers the content of all the new GCSEs and can be used with any specification - modular or non-modular. Pathfinder is split into three tiers: Foundation, Intermediate and Higher matching the new tiered content of the GCSE specifications. There are two pupils' books in each tier for each of the two years of GCSE (years 10 and 11). Each pupil's book has an associated Teacher's Guide and Practice Book. The materials do not depend on use of SMP Interact at Key Stage 3. Book F2 part A is the first part of the Year 11 materials for pupils following the GCSE Foundation Tier.
