Readings in Investment

Readings in Investment

by StephenLofthouse (Editor)

Synopsis

Readings in Investments Edited by Stephen Lofthouse Readings in Investments is a collection of articles, chapters and privately circulated papers, which provides an international perspective on investments. The book is intended as a supplement to the major US and European textbooks. The readings range in style from expository papers through to research papers, and mix both academic and practitioner viewpoints. Many of the authors are investment professionals and there is a greater than usual emphasis on the application of investment theory to the real world. The readings have been divided into seven parts, which correspond to broad topic areas as they appear in the major texts. Each section is prefaced with an editorial introduction and discussion of the factors which led to the selection of the articles which follow. With its international emphasis, and with many of the readings drawn from difficult to obtain books and journals or previously unpublished sources, this book should appeal to a broad international audience. It follows Stephen Lofthouse's successful professional text, Equity Investment Management.
