Media Reviews
I can see why this book is in its fifth edition. It is a really good introduction to basic surgical techniques. As well as practical tips, it provides advice on mental attitude and how to handle yourself, which should encourage trainee surgeons to remain calm in stressful situations. This book will be useful to all medical students starting their surgical placements and also to theatre staff, especially those who assist surgeons.
