Synopsis

This book, written in the popular Q and A format of The YQA series , will provide sufficient information for a primary care doctor to be able to understand and treat patients who are suffering from Parkinson's Disease. The outlook for people with Parkinson's Disease is better now than at any time since the 1960s thanks to new drugs. Media Reviews
I found it a pleasure to read this book and heartily commend it to those interested in Parkinson's Disease, neurology, clinical pharmacology, and how to write a practical textbook on anything. It is written in ordinary English with minimal use of unfamiliar acronyms and so is easy to read and understand. The layout is neat and it is easy to find the important points. More detailed explanation is given as necessary in adjacent but separate text boxes that do not interrupt the flow but make it easy to refer back as need be. Highly Commended in the Primary Health Care category at the 2003 BMA Awards, November 2003
excellent reference tool for GPs, other health professionals and informed young people with Parkinson's. YAPPRs UK, April 2003
