  The text includes questions concentrating on the relevant and important aspects of the subject, designed as an aid to examination revision. An explanation of how the DCH and MRCP examinations are constructed and how marks are awarded is given in an introductory section. Emphasis is placed on the importance of precision, both in the use and understanding of words, and in tightly delineating an answer. Although the content reflects the British MRCP and DCH examination papers, it is hoped that it will be useful preparation for any candidate taking a paediatric examination as well as for students in other countries. Sections of the book refer to case histories, the interpretation of data and projected material. A multiple choice questionnaire has been included by which readers can test their understanding. All questions have been tested and computer analyzed for suitability.
