100 Maths Homework and Assessment Activities for Year 5 (All New 100 Maths Homework & Assessment Activities)

Synopsis

100 Maths Homework and Assessment Activities is a new series of books that will provide a bank of accessible homework and assessment activities, and is intended to fit into a school's planning framework and/or homework guidelines. The materials will stand alone, but will also work effectively as the assessment and homework components for the All New 100 Maths Lessons series. The homework activities are designed to support and complement maths work in schools, foster home-school links and support the development of independent learning skills. The assessment activities will support teachers in their planning and teaching of the half-termly 'assess and review' lessons. They also provide a bank of tests and activities (mental, practical and written) to support teachers at other times in their short-, medium- and long-term assessments. Some of the activities are intended for the children to work on independently, while others can be supported by the teacher or handed to the classroom assistant with little preparation by each. 100 Maths Homework And Assessment Activities For Year 3 covers the NNS medium-term plans for Year 3. The 58 homework sheets - or approximately two sheets per week - offer the types of homework the NNS recommends - shared homework using the home context, shared games to practise number strategies, maths investigations and practice exercises. The Assessment section offers a range of medium- and long-term assessment opportunities including specific 'assess and review' units and end of term assessment tests.
