Author Bio
Irad Malkin is Maxwell Cummings Family Chair for the Study of Mediterranean History and Culture and Professor of Ancient Greek History at Tel Aviv University. He is the author of Religion and Colonization in Ancient Greece (1987), Myth and Territory in the Spartan Mediterranean (1994), and The Returns of Odysseus: Colonization and Ethnicity and the editor of several books on issues of Mediterranean history and ancient ethnicity.
